Beyond Routine Recovery: Treating Atypical Postpartum Complications

Array

Activity Info

Complement-mediated disorders that surface during pregnancy or the postpartum period can be mistaken for other disorders. Therefore, these disorders are underdiagnosed, resulting in high morbidity and mortality rates for persons who are pregnant and infants.

This interactive module will review a patient case with atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS), emphasizing complement dysregulation and the importance of early diagnosis.
