TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is designed for pediatricians, nurse practitioners, and physician associates who are members of the interprofessional and multidisciplinary team responsible for the coordinated care of patients with childhood interstitial lung disease (chILD).

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Childhood interstitial lung disease (chILD) is a complex and rare group of respiratory disorders that affect children. Hear from expert faculty as they review the importance of early recognition, accurate diagnosis, and appropriate management of this disease. Case examples will be reviewed to address the overlaps in patient presentation and symptomatology among the collective chILD disorders and other pediatric respiratory disorders.

Upon completion of this activity, the learners should be able to:

• Recognize the prevalence and burden of interstitial lung diseases among children
• Formulate a plan describing the steps for the early identification of childhood interstitial lung diseases and the potential for referral of appropriate patients to specialized care
• Apply strategies to improve communication and provide education to parents and caregivers
